Superd46

Driver of the week 9/29/03

Superd46 is the driver of the #46 Sirius Ford. After week 4 he got his second straight win along with the Lacrosse Shootout victory. The ASA Series Director had a talk with Superd46 and you can see what he said below.

Series Director - First off is there any general info you want to give about yourself?

Superd46 - I live in Montoursville, PA. I am a self employed. I currently have a small computer repair shop and I am a partner in my Dad's band resaw mill. I also own and operate a small RC track called SDF Raceway.

Series Director - How long have you been online racing?

Superd46 - I started in January of 1999. I got in my first league race in May of that year and within a few months I started my own league and was racing in Psyc's MORL and JB24 KORL leagues.

Series Director - ASA series was designed to have to be fewer setup changes and more equal competition. You clearly have a fast car each week so do you find your self spending less, more or about the same amount of time getting ready for ASA races then other MORL races.

Superd46 - I spend about half as much time working on setups. To me ASA is much easier to make a setup in.

Series Director - What is your favorite and least favorite tracks?

Superd46 - I would say my top 3 would be Bristol, Michigan and Lacrosse. My least favorite would have to be Darlington, Indy and Talladega.

Series Director - The ASA series runs all short tracks. Do you like, tolerate or hate those little bull rings?

Superd46 - Growing up a dirt track racer I love the short tracks.

Series Director - Are you making a championship run in the ASA series or just going to make what races you can?

Superd46 - I am going to attempt to run for the championship but it's not going to be easy. Since the car counts are not that big and the drivers are so consitant is going to be tough for anyone to get a lead and like last season I'm looking to have it come down to the last race.

Series Director - Finally do you have a favorite quote or motto that has to do with racing?

Superd46 - I would have to say there is two I have always liked. Dave Marcis "We have done so much with so little for so long we can almost do anything with nothing".

C.W. Smith "So you wanna be a race car driver? Get me a lead pipe and I'll beat the !@#! out of you and ask you again if you still wanna be a race car driver because that is how you are gonna feel after a race".

Series Director - Thank you for your time and congrats on being ASA Driver Of The Week.
